Project Management

I offer a full building project management service

I project manage all building work from small improvements to full property renovation. Whether you are looking to update your kitchen or bathroom, install new windows or doors, or add a conservatory to upgrade your home; I can manage the entire process, from plans to completion. I work with professional and reliable trades people – plumbers, carpenters/joiners, electricians and roofing specialists.

Why do I need a project manager? Because it puts YOU in control…

It became obvious to me that although there are many ‘super’ builders out there, there are also some ‘not-so-great’ ones.

I wonder if you have had the some of the same experiences as other people:

  • Unfinished work / not to standard
  • Unreliability
  • Project drags on and on and on
  • Costs exceed budget
  • Inability to contact builder / unreturned calls
  • Sound familiar?

All this causes us:

  • Time
  • Energy
  • Worry
  • Arguments
  • Stress
  • Irritation
  • Discouragement
  • Fear

This happens because we are not in control of our home improvement project. Builder in Brighton puts you in control. We work for you; this is why I started this business.

With Builder in Brighton managing your home improvement, from conception to completion you will receive:

  • Honesty
  • Reliability
  • Transparency – with costing, pricing, discounts, and time projections
  • Completed quality work

How we work

It’s easy – just 3 steps and you are on your way:

Step 1:

Initial meeting consists of discussing your ideas, wishes, needs, priorities, budget and time scale.

Step 2:

Trades people will then be invited to tender quotes, all quotes will be attended by me so that I can talk through and negotiate the best deal on your behalf.

Step 3:

We then meet again to discuss, re-confirm and finalize step 1.

Once the work commences, I will manage the job to completion. Leaving you to get on with enjoying your life.

Payment

Payments will be requested at various stages of completed work to be paid to the relevant trades people at approved pre-determined times, as set by you the customer and us.

How does Builder in Brighton get paid?

In my experience most jobs I manage require me to work for you between 3 and 15 hours depending on the size of the project. I ask for an hourly rate of £35 paid on completion of job. For jobs exceeding 15 hours, the hourly rate will decrease.

I will give you an estimation of the approximate hours needed in Step 1 above (in our initial meeting).
